This charming property, which takes up the top floor of an old Savoyard farmhouse, promises you an unforgettable Alpine holiday, whatever the season.
Located close to the shuttle bus stop and the village of La Giettaz, Chalet Marijulo will allow you to choose between two ski passes in the winter: Portes du Mont-Blanc or Évasion Mont-Blanc. And for even more choice, the slopes of La Clusaz are just 14km away.
Outside the ski season, the mountains are a paradise for cyclists, hikers and paragliders. You can also try summer tobogganing and rock climbing, or take the ski lifts up to the summit for a picnic with breathtaking views.
When you return from your mountain activities, you can relax in the hot tub or enjoy the breathtaking views from Chalet Marijulo's balcony and terrace.
The property…
Chalet Marijulo takes up the whole top floor of an old Savoyard farmhouse. Now totally renovated, this charming property can accommodate up to 12 guests (max 10 adults), with five bedrooms and two bathrooms.
A large dining table stands in the centre of the open-plan living area. On one side, there’s a cosy lounge area with a large sofa, a television and a wood-burning stove. On the other is a fully-equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar. French doors bring in plenty of light and open onto a balcony with lovely views of the mountains.
Chalet Marijulo has five bedrooms: three double bedrooms, a four-person bedroom designed for children, and two single beds on a mezzanine floor with a television. These rooms share two shower rooms and two separate toilets.
After a wonderful day in the Aravis mountains you can return to Chalet Marijulo to relax in the indoor hot tub. In good weather, challenge your friends to a game of pétanque, or soak up the sun on the terrace, which is furnished with sunbeds and a dining table.
There’s room to park up to four vehicles outside the chalet.
Two apartments occupy the lower floor of the chalet, but they are not available for booking on our platform. The entrance and outdoor areas at Chalet Marijulo are completely private.
About the area…
Guests visiting Chalet Marijulo in winter can take advantage of the link between Le Plan and the ski areas of Combloux and Megève to access two superb ski areas: Les Portes du Mont-Blanc and Évasion Mont-Blanc, which offer more than 400km of pistes spread between the resorts of Megève, Saint-Gervais, Saint-Nicolas-de-Veroce and Les Contamines-Montjoie. And if you want to explore further, the Aravis mountain resorts of La Clusaz, Manigod and Le Grand-Bornand offer another 200km.
You will find just as much to do outside the ski season. Hiking and cycling are the most popular activities in this spectacular area, but you could also try out other activities including climbing, summer tobogganing and paragliding.
If you’re looking for a change of scenery, the medieval town of Annecy is just 45km away. Explore the castle and the old town, enjoy a meal at a canalside restaurant or pick up a treasure at the antiques market. Or perhaps head for Lake Annecy, where you can try your hand at a variety of water sports, take a mini-cruise, hire a boat or simply spend the day on one of the many beaches that dot its shores.

“Great amenities and hospitality”
The chalet is very well equipped and the location is magnificent. Communication with Anne-Sophie was easy, and we were even allowed to arrive a little earlier and leave a little later because the bookings allowed it. We were able to enjoy the jacuzzi, the barbecue, and the pétanque court, which are a real plus for the stay. Thank you for your hospitality!

Very nice stay to enjoy a pleasant time with family or friends in this idyllic setting. Fully equipped. Barbecue, raclette, fondue, you can do everything on a whim. The jacuzzi area is very well designed. We will definitely come back.
Note: watch out for the beam when getting up from the sofa:)

Set in the heart of the Aravis mountains, La Giettaz is a bit of a ‘well kept secret’
Skiers can choose to explore either Les Portes du Mont-Blanc, the domain Evasion Mont-Blanc or even L’Espace Diamant, offering something for all the family.
In the summer there are great mountain bike trails and walking routes, with a wealth of flora and fauna, plus a via ferrata.

The heated steps leading up to the entrance of Chalet Marijulo mean you’ll have no problems with snow, even in the depths of winter. They border a terrace with a dining table and several sunbeds, as well as a pétanque area.
The cosy wood-panelled interior of this property, which takes up the whole top floor of a renovated farmhouse, is typical of authentic Savoyard chalets. You'll feel at home as soon as you step inside.

A covered balcony affords magnificent views of the surrounding mountains.

Visiting from our native Normandy, we fell in love with "La Giet" in 2006. We spent our holidays here, both in summer and winter, and in 2017, we embarked on the adventure of restoring an old Savoyard farmhouse.
Our plan was to preserve the Savoyard charm while incorporating modern comforts.
The chalet's welcoming atmosphere promises wonderful moments with family or friends, and the hot tub is a wonderful place to relax after a day of skiing or hiking.
The terrace offers a unique view of the mountains. And when you're not out in the mountains, why not enjoy a game of pétanque?
The chalet is located in a quiet area with breathtaking views of the mountains, just five minutes from the nearest ski slopes.
In the summer, you can put on your walking boots and head out on several trails suitable for all levels, straight from the door. Cyclists will appreciate the nearby mountain passes (Aravis, Les Saisies, Croix-Fry, Colombière, etc.).
The typical Savoyard village of La Giettaz, just two minutes from the chalet, will delight those who love the mountains. And from a practical point of view, it also offers a grocery store as well as bars, and restaurants.
